Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.eie-invest.com.

This website is run by the EIE Team at the University of Edinburgh’s Bayes Centre. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
  • Use a responsive layout on desktop and mobile

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • Some older video content does not have captions
  • Colour contrast in some areas may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards
  • The navigation menu may not work fully with screen readers
  • Some images lack meaningful alt text

We are working to address these issues.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed above.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We plan to:

  • Caption all video content published from September 2025 onwards
  • Improve contrast and alt text coverage by September 2025
  • Engage the University’s Disability Information Team for accessibility training and site audit

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This information was last reviewed in July 2025. The statement is based on a combination of manual testing and use of automated tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe). Testing was carried out by the Communications and Marketing at the  Bayes Centre, University of Edinburgh.
