Scottish Enterprise launched the Funding Information & Support Service (FISS) on 1st April. FISS exists to help support Scotland win more of “others people’s money”. Specifically we support companies to win non-enterprise agency funding. We do this through:
- Funding Identification and Strategy. We maintain a database of company focussed innovation funding – we currently share this through our funding bulletin, which you can sign-up to receive by emailing FISS@Scotent.co.uk
Fit-to-call, including eligibility and likelihood of success. You can read about individual funding calls on funder websites, but if there’s any ambiguity we’re happy to help. We focus on helping companies access competitive innovation funding, so success rates can be tight – sharing this can help companies decide quickly whether they want to apply or not. - Guidance on proposal writing (although we do not write proposals). We can provide you with materials and guidance to write winning funding proposals.
- Proposal review. This is the core of our service. We will provide detailed and useful feedback on client funding proposals to ensure that they submit their best work. The more time we have in advance of the cut-off date (ideally at least 2 weeks), the better the service.
- Interview or pitch prep. Some funding streams require an in-person interview or pitch, we have lots of experience helping clients develop and practice this. Including experience of supporting clients do this via video conferencing.
All enquiries to FISS@Scotent.co.uk as it helps us allocate staff. Flyer
