Linda took up post as interim chief executive in October 2020.

Prior to this, Linda was a member of Scottish Enterprise’s (SE) Executive Leadership Team and managing director of Scottish Economic Development where she led SE’s work to help build economic systems to support entrepreneurs, industries and communities in Scotland to thrive. Working with partners this helps put in place important assets, investment and develop the conditions to enable inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

This included work to accelerate major opportunities for Scotland’s economy, such as high-value manufacturing, life sciences, data-driven innovation and the low-carbon economy and ensure SE invests, innovates and fully engages in the economic partnerships growing and developing across Scotland’s cities and regions.

Her remit included our work with industries, innovative finance, place-making, innovation and entrepreneurship to drive growth across all parts of Scotland.
