Scotland’s Digital Economy contributes ca £6.6bn annually and employs approximately 100,000 people. It is uniquely positioned to play a key role in driving Scotland’s digital transformation and economic recovery post Covid-19.

As Scotland mobilises to deliver the Scottish Government’s legally binding commitment to deliver net zero carbon emissions by 2045, our physical economy is expected to become more regional and more local, but our digital economy, truly global.

To maximise this opportunity, the Digital Economy must continue to be ever more entrepreneurial, vibrant, dynamic and agile.

It is in this context, and against the backdrop of emerging from the global Covid-19 lockdown, that Informatics Ventures has decided to stage EIE20 on 14th October, on a virtual conference Platform.

Building further on this opportunity, it is our aspiration to pivot and scale EIE into the future, delivering a global hybrid, with a Live and Virtual EIE Conference in the years ahead.

Our aspiration is to collaborate and work in partnership across Scotland and internationally, to attract international delegations, visitors and investors to EIE. On our global stage we will showcase our Company Cohort, selected across 9 industry sectors, pitching ambitious and resilient Data Driven Innovation solutions to real world problems, for the benefit of all.
