Celtic Renewables have participated in EIE at EIE13, EIE London and also EIE14, winning Pitch of the Day at EIE13

This mission is to re-establish, at a global scale, the Acetone-Butanol-Ethanol (ABE) fermentation process, utilising local low value materials to produce low-carbon, high-value, sustainable products.

They are developing and enhancing patented technology in terms of science, engineering and manufacturing excellence, to develop world leading biorefineries in key locations, that will grow local economies and shareholder value. They have committed to working with strategic partners to create an environmentally and socio-economically viable industry that displaces fossil fuel derivatives

Incorporated 2 March 2011, as a spin-out from Edinburgh Napier University, the company have so far raised £32.83 million. Latest raise was £12.24 million in June 2021.
